Welcome to BetThat. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Felipe Villas Boas Ribeiro, an individual doing business as BetThat ("we," "us," "our"), governing your access to and use of the BetThat iPhone app (the "App").

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

This is a draft written for a small, independent app and has not been reviewed by an attorney. It's meant to be clear and fair, not to replace professional legal advice.

1. Who can use BetThat

You must be at least 13 years old to use BetThat. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use the App.

By using BetThat, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that all information you give us (email, username, display name, etc.) is accurate.

We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe belong to users under 13.

2. Assumption of risk & safety — please actually read this

BetThat involves real tasks that you and your friends choose to perform in the real world. This is the most important section of these Terms.

• Tasks are prompts, not instructions you're obligated to follow exactly. You are always responsible for deciding whether a task is safe, legal, and appropriate for you to attempt.
• Never perform a task while driving or operating machinery, in a way that puts you or anyone else in physical danger, in a location where you don't have permission to be, or in a way that breaks any law.
• Never perform a task that harasses, embarrasses without consent, endangers, or violates the rights or safety of another person — including people who aren't in your BetThat group.
• You can skip any task. Missing a deadline has in-app consequences (a punishment task next round) — it does not require you to do anything unsafe.
• We provide task prompts "as is," for entertainment purposes, with no guarantee that any given prompt is safe for every user, location, or situation. Common sense and judgment are on you.
• We are not liable for any injury, property damage, legal trouble, embarrassment, or other consequence arising from you or anyone else performing, attempting, filming, or reacting to a task. This applies whether the task came from our standard bank, a Pro task, or a punishment task.

If a task ever asks you to do something that feels unsafe, illegal, or wrong — don't do it. Skip it, report it, and let us know.
